Aliah Hasan, AMFT
Are you frustrated by the lack of equality in your relationship? Are you trying to build a relationship that works for the two of you, completely independent from what other people think relationships are ‘supposed’ to be or from the examples of relationships you saw growing up? It can be a frustrating place to be. You know what you want but seem to have a hard time making it happen. Or maybe you’re not sure what you want but you’re very clear on what you don’t want in a relationship.
I’m Aliah Hasan; and I can help you create the perfect relationship for you. I have a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from CSU Dominguez Hills and am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California (Reg. No 104952). I am working under the supervision of Rebecca Williams, LMFT (Ca Lic. No 81817).
One of my strengths as a therapist is the ability to understand your unique situation and help you create a plan for change and success that is tailored just for you. I am committed to learning the best approaches for couples therapy, but I’m not married to a one-size-fits-all way of doing things. I will take the time to understand your needs and then draw from my knowledge and experience to find the tools that will work best for you. I have a passion for working with military families. If you’re part of a military family, you know that happy family life for you can look very different from what civilian families might consider ‘normal.’ I get it, and I’m here to help.
I became a therapist because I love helping people. I love travel. And I love learning about people, cultures, and ways of life. When I’m not doing therapy, you might find me spending time with my family and friends, preparing for a trip, working out, or otherwise taking great care of myself and loving life. I can’t wait to meet you!
